A “Keyword phrase” is a three to five word phrase in quotes that refer to a specific item on your website. When people are looking for something specific, they tend to search with phrases to narrow the search results. This is also true when they are ready to purchase a product they have been researching
Take some time and enter keyword phrases that describe your product or service to see how many sites come up compared to using generic words. Since there are a lot less results for the keyword phrase, it will be much easier to get a good ranking if you optimize your page for the keyword phrase.
To get ideas for keyword phrases, check your website statistics to find what phrases that people used to find your website. This is a great starting point for ideas of keyword phrases to use. Also ask your customers: "What did you search for when you found us on the web?"
This will give you insight into how your customers thinks about your product or service.
